Use corrective make-up with a high concentration of pigments – either a light liquid foundation or a stick that you can slip into your handbag and keep with you at all times. The best technique is to put a small amount of corrector on the tip of your finger and spread it on the back of your hand using a circular movement. “This warms it up, making it lighter and easier to apply,” continues Letizia. “Then use your finger to smooth the make-up gently over any areas without dark spots. Dab the corrector on any visible marks using the tip of your finger – this will allow you to apply more to these areas.

What causes under-eye dark circles to appear?


The skin around the eyes is a very fragile and complex zone as the skin there is very fine, sensitive, and much thinner than on the rest of the face.

This makes blood vessels more visible from the surface, which contributes to darker areas under the eyes in reality, dark circles have many causes, including: congestion, hyper-pigmentation, inflammation, dead skin cell accumulation.
